  • Our EP was in person
  • in Massachusetts in the mountains and in the first 5 days in a tent and the rest of the week we were in a cabin

Where did the EP take place? What was the area/campus/

office/virtual environment like?

3 of 7

  • The EP was there for us to learn about the environment and how we are able to experience camping. It is nothing like the city
  • We went hiking for 5 days and walked about 5 miles a day and we did activities along the way and learned how to do camping. When in camp we selected the program we wanted to do like a schedule of activities

What was the overall goal of your EP? What did you do/learn/accomplish?

4 of 7

  • It depends on the schedule one takes while in the camp, but while hiking we just walked and also did water activities since the lake we used was private to the YMCA
  • Boys stayed in a 3 wall cabin and there is 4 people while in the girls 4 wall cabin and there was 12 people in a cabin. We ate what was served in the kitchen and on the hiking we ate what we cooked

What was your daily or weekly schedule like?

5 of 7

  • I wanted to explore outside the state and explore nature and do hiking
  • The application process was too hard it was basic information
  • The hardest part was getting everything in on time
  • Don’t leave things to the last minute

How did you decide to apply for this program? What was the application process like?

6 of 7

  • We would have brought clothes for the overnight camp part and more
  • Being physically prepared
  • Being able to know people before hand and for it to be a bigger group

What would you have done differently if you could re-do your EP or the EP application process?

7 of 7

  • I enjoyed the backpacking trip so much that I want to go again in the future
  • It would be to be cool to become a counselor who helps out or a leader in training since it was a fun experi

How did this experience shape you? What learnings will you take with you in the future?
