PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design

This is and honors level college preparedness class. The objective is to guide students into making decisions for themselves.

This course will be a traditional mix of lecture/discussion and lab work. We will “flip” the class when necessary to maximize the inclass time to work at CAD stations or labs. The curriculum is delivered through both Schoology and myPLTW.org.

We use several CAD programs to provide a flexible but high level experience to students. Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360 and Onshape will all be used during the year.

The most important message… have frequent conversations about your future. Ask questions about careers, post secondary options, schooling, job outlook, job requirements and availability. No path is set and people change their minds regularly; however, arming yourself with background knowledge and the ability to process a situation will forever help you stay prepared.
