Deal Flow

We now Skip Awaiting Interest

  • We do a follow up meeting with the company via the deal lead and others to follow up after pitch
  • Pitch Day companies stays under the Pitch Day tab for about four weeks, if a full DD not tiggered, then it will be moved to declined. If DD scheduled due to investment interest then it is moved to DD tab.

Due Diligence to Close Processes…the Job

Deal Lead Responsibilities

  • A deal lead drives the DD process and term sheet review
  • They manage the slack, website and email messaging to generate interest
  • Co-leads may help to cover the DD process and domain knowledge
  • The deal lead to inform the President to sign the agreements (copy Admin) when the DD is satisfied*.
  • If the deal is to be syndicated then a brief DD Investment Support Document should be prepared.

Note

  • Most deals are closed with notes which are fairly easy but some are equity deals. The deal lead is responsible to work with investors to review the CAP tables and other documents

Due Diligence to Close…Deal Champions

Marketing/Communication

  • Our membership in general does not attend pitch events nor attend DD meetings live

  • Getting a deal across the line means bringing the deals to the membership through slack, email, newsletter and website communications!
          • All meetings should be recorded and made available to the membership via links on all communication mediums.
          • Simplify the deals info through summaries and letting the membership know why it is a deal they may want to look at and invest in.
          • Give them access to the links to all the information in each communication channel.
