The menu tabs on the left of the MTSS Plan screen takes us through the process in order.

  • SIT Facilitator prepares for meeting by completing
    • MTSS Plan
    • Documents
    • Plan Meetings
  • SIT Meeting begins
    • Plan Meeting
    • Area of Concern

Setting up a complete academic intervention plan begins with the MTSS Plan tab and ends with Area of Concern tab in this section.

The SIT Facilitator goes through the following steps prior to the SIT Meeting

Type a plan name (ex. Jones 3rd grade Reading

Select Tier III Plan Type

“Created by” will default to the person entering information. Change if needed.

Enter the name of the person responsible for the academic intervention.

Enter the date intervention will start. It can be backdated if needed. The End Date will enter based on plan length, or can be custom entered.

Add Students: If multiple students have the same goals and are in an intervention together, they may be added here as a group.

Select Plan Length following academic intervention guidance

Don’t forget to click save!

  • The Request for Assistance information that teachers submitted in TeacherVue will be found in the Student Profile. Click here and look under the MTSS tab.
  • Attendance and available vision and hearing screening will be found here as well.

If the student has had an intervention plan entered in another school in PPS, the plan will be listed here.

Use the first two tabs to record meeting participants for the upcoming meeting.

In Meeting Details, select the meeting date and appropriate meeting type.

During the SIT meeting, the SIT notetaker captures the team’s thinking in the fillable boxes as you scroll down

The SIT Note Taker completes the student’s plan by completing the next tab (Area of Concern) either during the SIT meeting or immediately after

Choose the area of Concern and the Person Responsible using the drop down arrows.

Choose a Learning Gap. Use the drop down arrow and click up to three (3) Lagging Skills.

Use the dropdown arrow next to Intervention and select the intervention that will be used. (cont next slide)

Continuing in Area of Concern, after selecting the intervention, enter the student’s individualized goal information .

If MAP Reading Fluency is used for progress monitoring, click the drop down for Sync with Analytics Data Source and choose Test History to sync with MAP data progress monitoring data.

Don’t forget to click save!

You have now completed setting up an academic intervention by completing the first six tabs.

When the intervention is ready to begin, enter the baseline and target information in Progress Monitoring.

Click Save

The student-specific goal will auto populate here for Progress Monitoring.
