Equity Subcommittee Report

  • Support each other through transparency & collaboration to keep the promise of college opportunity for future generations.
  • Review the Work Plan and provide recommendations for ensuring the Near Star, and equity commitments are embedded in Plan activities.

The Data Workgroup has 13 members representing K12, community college and 4 year institutions as well as Collaborative leadership and staff. They meet regularly to guide the data reporting aspects of the Collaborative.

Data Reporting and Support Sessions

  • The Cabrillo Data Team has developed a Data Reporting Form for Cycle 1 grantees to use for Jan. 23rd reporting deadline.
  • Two K-12 & one Postsecondary Data Reporting Support Sessions have been scheduled.
  • The Cabrillo Data Team will host "Data Reporting Office Hours" for all Cycle 1 grantees.

Reporting Requirements, IRB Plans and Data Sharing Agreements

  • Working with the UCSC IRB office, to ensure proper protocols related to the collection of student level data.

Tri Chairs Selection

  • One chair shall be selected from the four-year university sector, one from the CCC sector, and one from the K-16 and County Office of Education sector.
  • Provide direction to the Director and Regional Coordinators on the scheduling and agenda items for meetings.
  • Provide guidance on key decisions and recommendations to the Steering Committee
  • Chairs shall be appointed by an affirmative vote of 60% of the membership from their respective constituency.
  • Tri Chairs shall serve for terms ending on July 1, 2026.
