TABLE NOTES

This slide creates a table, as you can see in the grid icon. Click the icon to create a clean-styled table.

TABLE TIPS

If you paste content into your new table and it looks funky, select all text and find the Clear All Formatting button (A with an eraser) in the main Home menu bar.

In the Table Design and Layout menu bars are more tools to create Header Row, First Column (so you don’t need to manually make the text bold, etc), and to Distribute Rows/columns if they look inconsistent.

PICTURE NOTES

Select your image and in the menu bar above, use the little arrow next to Crop > “Fill” or “Fit” to make sure your image does not become distorted.

TEXT LEVEL NOTES

Some slides have the first level NOT bulleted (preview on the right). At the beginning of a paragraph, click Tab on your keyboard to increase the level to one that has bullets. Or use the “Indent More” button in the menu bar. Avoid having to make small tweaks whenever possible and use the styles!

Title and End Slides

Many options for layouts and FWISD end slides are available by clicking the Layout button in the Home menu bar.

FOOTERS

Footers can be finicky, especially if it is in a slide that was copied from another presentation. (Sometimes it is easiest to recreate the whole slide in that case.)

  1. Select all slides and then View > Header and Footer.
  2. Fill the form similar to what is seen to the right.
  3. Apply to all.
