1st Wisconsin Infantry�Died December 3, 1861, West Point, Kentucky�Burial Place: Unknown��December 3rd, [1861] Tuesday - "Our friends the Wisconsin 1st left us today.  They met with a sad accident.  One of the boys slipped down and his gun went off and shot a private next to him through the head and killed him instantly." - Wellington White Diary, 9th Michigan Infantry.  Another source: Wisconsin losses in the Civil War, page 6.  He is listed as Casper E.
