INTEREST VS. NEED

CONSIDER COURSE DIFFICULTY

  • Be realistic about who you are as a student.
  • How difficult of a class am I willing to take?
    • Some classes require a lot of time outside of school to get a good grade OR even to get a passing grade.
  • Am I comfortable asking for help...
    • From the teacher?
    • From other students taking the same class?
    • From students/friends who have already taken the class?
    • From a tutor?
  • Will the class help me with my future?
    • You might not want your first difficult class to be a college course where you would lose the $500 to $1,300 class fee if you dropped it.
