MISSION STATEMENT

To create an environment and pathways for the youth of Utah to be able to reach their individual potential as athletes, students, and contributing members of the greater community through winter sports participation.

PROUD COACH MOMENTS

• Having several Snowbasin athletes ski in college – Isabel Torres, Sofia Yubero, Bridger Harrison, Loudon Fruth, Michael Townsend, Katie Townsend.
• Winning the U14 Nations Cup at the International Whistler Cup in 2019 and 2023.
• Watching Madi Hoffman win both SL and GS at last years NCAA Champions and pushing her team at U of U to another National Title.
• Having 8 former athletes currently on their National Teams (4 USA and 4 Australia).
• Elizabeth Bocock winning Rookie of the Year for the US Ski Team.
• Every IMD Speed Camp over the years.

YEAR 1 GOALS

TEAM CULTURE

• Culture doesn’t change when a coach is the only one holding members accountable. Cultures are built when each member starts holding each other accountable as well.
• Kindness matters – You will always be remembered by how you made others feel.
• Perseverance matters – The more you are willing to risk and fail, the closer you are to greatness.
• Commitment matters – When you improve a little each day, eventually big things occur… Not tomorrow, not the next day, but eventually a big gain is made. The power of compounding applies to daily effort.
• Champion minded athletes embrace change and aim to continually improve and evolve.

FIRST 2 MONTHS

• Development of a strategic plan with the BOD.
• Hosted first annual Mammoth summer ski camp.
• Personal meetings with staff members.
• Weekly meetings with Tracy as well as with Jen.
• Established connection with Davy Racthford.
• Adjusting our coaching staff roles.
• Collaboration on new logo and marketing materials.
• Established accounting principles and preparing for financial audit.
• Awarded financial aid to qualified applicants under the guidance of our scholarship committee.

DRYLAND TRAINING – �PRE-SEASON PREP

Tuesday and Thursday at Mount Ogden Park.

Meet on the east side of the tennis courts.

5:00-6:30 until daylight savings time, then TBD

We will continue dryland training until it is safe to train on snow.

​

​

Build strength, endurance, mobility, and power through agility drills, body weight exercises, plyometrics exercises, and other drills. Pre-season training is essential for injury prevention and gives an athlete an advantage for when we start training on snow.

​

Ogden Ice Sheet- Dryland Skating will start Sept 17th through Nov. 11th on Sunday mornings.

​
