September 10, 2023 (WEEK 43 OF CHURCH FORMATION)
LORD’S DAY WORSHIP
Today, enjoy a deep relationship with God. That is how we rest.
Without it, you are just practicing religion, which Jesus came to denounce.
Praise
Worthy of It All
Worthy of It All
Good Good Father
Oh, I've heard a thousand stories of what they think You're like
But I've heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night
And You tell me that You're pleased and that I'm never alone
Good Good Father
You're a good, good Father
It's who You are, it's who You are, it's who You are
And I'm loved by You
It's who I am, it's who I am, it's who I am
Good Good Father
Oh, and I've seen many searching for answers far and wide
But I know we're all searching for answers only You provide
'Cause You know just what we need before we say a word
Good Good Father
You're a good, good Father
It's who You are, it's who You are, it's who You are
And I'm loved by You
It's who I am, it's who I am, it's who I am
Good Good Father
Because You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways to us
Good Good Father
You are perfect in all of Your ways
Oh, You're perfect in all of Your ways
You are perfect in all of Your ways to us
Good Good Father
Oh, it's love so undeniable
I, I can hardly speak
Peace so unexplainable
I, I can hardly think
Good Good Father
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still
As You call me deeper still into love, love, love
Good Good Father
You're a good, good Father
It's who You are, it's who You are, it's who You are
And I'm loved by You
It's who I am, it's who I am, it's who I am
Goodness of God
I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
Goodness of God
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
Goodness of God
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
Goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Goodness of God
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Goodness of God
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Goodness of God
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Goodness of God
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Every Step
I can sing with my whole heart,I have all I need
In Jesus, my Savior,my joy is complete
Every Step
Onward to gloryyet here I will wait
I will trust in ChristEvery step I take
Every Step
I am sure of your promiseTo guide me each day
Though some may oppose me,I won’t be ashamed
Every Step
Whatever I faceLord, it won’t be in vain
I will trust in ChristEvery step I take
Every Step
For all of my daysI will live for your gloryRunning with courage and faith
The prize of my journey, the joy of salvationTo meet my King face to face
Every Step
So I’m looking to Jesus, perfector of faith
My heart set on heavenWhere treasure awaits
Every Step
I’ll run with enduranceTo finish the race
I will trust in ChristEvery step I take
Every Step
For all of my daysI will live for your gloryRunning with courage and faith
The prize of my journey, the joy of salvationTo meet my King face to face
Every Step
I will, I will rejoice.Whatever comes my wayGod, you’re faithful to save
I will, I will rejoice.I know that God is with me always
Every Step
For all of my daysI will live for your gloryRunning with courage and faith
The prize of my journey, the joy of salvationTo meet my King face to face
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon. May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.For the Kingdom and all the power and glory belong to You forever and ever. Amen.

Welcome to the Day of Rest (Mark 2:27)
Scripture Reading
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
Scripture Reading Principles
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
18For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. 19It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
20God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but he has now revealed him to you in these last days. 21Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
22You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. 23For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
24As the Scriptures say, "People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. 25But the word of the Lord remains forever." And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
1So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 2Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
4You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God's temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. 5And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What's more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
6As the Scriptures say, "I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." 7Yes, you who trust him recognize the honor God has given him. But for those who reject him, "The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone."
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
8And, "He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they do not obey God's word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
9But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
10"Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God's people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy." 11Dear friends, I warn you as "temporary residents and foreigners" to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.
1Peter 1:18-25, 2:1-12 (NLT)
12Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

In Your Small groups:
Meet often.Christians do not live easy lives.
Remove all distractions. So life can be shared.
Remind each otherof the great calling to reach the world
Hebrews 6:9-12 (NLT)
9Dear friends, …We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. 10For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. 11Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance.
