Annual Parent Survey

  • A responsibility of the Littleton Academy Accountability Committee (LAAC) is to measure the quality and effectiveness of the school and its educational programs.
  • The LAAC conducted a survey to measure only parent satisfaction concerning the performance of Littleton Academy in 2018-2019 school year.
  • Survey results are presented to the Governing Board and recommendations provided.
  • Survey question responses are typically used in the Governing Board’s June evaluation of the Principal.

3 of 25

Annual Parent Survey (cont.)

  • LAAC primarily focused on answers that were below 80% agree & strongly agree (“satisfaction rate”). We have also included the change from last year.
  • The initial survey was open from March 4 – April 1, 2019
  • 213 respondents from 598 invitees (through Infinite Campus)
    • 36% response rate (up from 27% last year)
    • 47 questions, mostly in form of Strongly Agree / Agree / Neutral / Disagree / Strongly Disagree
    • Defined the “neutral” option this year.

4 of 25

Annual Parent Survey (cont.)

  • We altered the Principal questions this year to state “Interim Principal” for clarity and will remove “Interim” for 2019-2020

  • No comments were used for the initial survey, but in the second survey, comments were used to determine a trend in the low positive response rate.

  • Analysis focused on % positive response (SA+A)
