AP Exam Schedule

May 1-5 and May 8-12

Arrival time for morning exams is 7:30.

Arrival time for afternoon exams is 11:30.

Arrival location is the Commons (near the D Wing Stairs).

Please be on time.

Exam Administration Locations

Students will receive a Google Calendar invitation via their school email account with the location of their AP exams.

Most AP subjects will have multiple exam sessions running simultaneously due to students’ approved College Board accommodations.

When you are dismissed from the Commons, be sure to report to the room location listed in your Google Calendar invitation for each exam.

Materials to Bring to the Exam

  • #2 pencils with erasers
  • Ink pens with black or dark blue ink
  • Graphing Calculator (Biology, Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics 1, Physics 2, and Statistics).
  • Four-function Calculator (Macroeconomics, Microeconomics).

Materials NOT to Bring to the Exam

  • Highlighters, Books, Dictionaries
  • Electronic equipment of any kind:
    • Phones
    • Smartwatches
    • Wearable technology of any kind
    • Bluetooth devices
    • Cameras or other photographic equipment
    • Separate timers of any type
    • Any other electronic or communication devices
  • Food or Drink of any kind

Back-to-Back Exams

Students who have an 8 AM and a 12 PM exam on the same date are expected to complete both exams during the regularly scheduled exam times.

Students with back-to-back exams will have limited break time between exams.

Food will be provided for students on days when they have back-to-back exams.

Sections of the Exam

Multiple Choice

  • Answer the questions for the multiple-choice section of the exam by filling in the appropriate circles on your answer sheet.
  • Total scores on the multiple-choice section are based only on the number of questions answered correctly. Points are not deducted for incorrect answers.

Free Response

  • You will receive two booklets- an orange booklet, which will contain the exam questions, and a free-response booklet.
  • Write your responses only in the free-response booklet.

Personalized AP ID Label Sheet

Each student will receive a personalized AP ID label sheet that will be used for all AP exams this year.

The personalized labels must be placed on your exam materials, as directed by the proctor, to ensure rapid and accurate processing.

Do not use anyone else’s labels.

AP Art & Design Exams

  • All portfolios (2-D, 3-D, and Drawing) will be submitted digitally only.
  • Use your College Board login information to log in to

the AP Digital Portfolio.

  • Students must submit each component as final individually.
  • Submit your portfolio components as final by your teacher’s deadline. May 5 by 8 p.m. is the deadline for students to submit their portfolio components as final to the AP Program through the AP Digital Portfolio. However, teachers will set their own deadline before May 5, so they have time to review portfolio component submissions.

AP French and Spanish Language & Culture Exams

  • For the speaking part of the exam, student-owned devices may not be used under any circumstances.
  • You will have the opportunity to practice recording via the DAC (Digital Audio Capture) app prior to your AP exam.

AP Music Theory Exam

  • For the sight singing part of the exam:
    • student-owned devices may not be used under any circumstances
    • earbuds or headsets are not permitted
  • The sight singing part of the exam is administered to one student at a time.
  • You will have the opportunity to practice recording via the DAC (Digital Audio Capture) app prior to your AP exam.

AP Computer Science Principles Exam

  • Exam consists of two parts:
    • the Create Performance Task that students complete during class time throughout the course
    • 70 multiple-choice questions that will be administered in May
  • Students must submit their Create Performance Task in the

AP Digital Portfolio as final by no later than 11:59 PM on

May 1, 2023.

  • Use the same College Board login information when accessing both My AP and the AP Digital Portfolio.

Digital Exams

Chinese Language and Culture * Computer Science Principles * United States History * World History: Modern

  • Bring your fully-charged Chromebook to the exam.
  • Go to the Bluebook testing app (located in the Apps menu when you sign out of your Chromebook).
  • Sign in with your College Board account and explore the digital AP Exam preview questions.
  • Here’s a video about the digital AP Exam experience.
  • Each student will receive 3 sheets of scratch paper, which will be collected at the end of testing.

Late Testing May 17-19

Students who had two AP exams at the same date and time have been scheduled to take one AP exam during the late testing window.

AP Exam Scores

  • Scores will be available to students online at apscore.org in July.
  • June 20, 2023 is the deadline to change which college or university you’d like to receive your free score report.
  • To change your free score report recipient, sign in

to myap.collegeboard.org, go to My AP Profile,

and then click the Score Send tab.
