How To Use

3 of 5

  1. Research information about a conflict of your choice that you would like to try and solve.
  2. Then, try to come up with ideas on what has been done in the past to resolve the conflict and what steps YOU believe need to be taken to better handle the situation.
    1. What conflict have you chosen?
    2. How long has this conflict been occurring?
    3. What parties are involved and why?
    4. What solutions have been proposed or implemented to resolve this conflict? Why were they unsuccessful?
    5. What is your proposed solution?
      1. How is it different from solutions attempted in the past?
      2. How does your solution consider both sides of the conflict?
  3. Think through the possible objections that someone could have about your solutions and how you would answer them.
  4. Share with the group and see if you can convince them that your solutions have the potential to solve this ongoing conflict.
