Get ready, book lovers! The 2026 Kanata United Book Fair returns this spring at Kanata United

Church, 33 Leacock Drive, offering more than 35,000 gently used books at fantastic

prices—almost all under $5. Every book you buy and every donation you give helps support

local outreach and community and church programs.

  • You can use the black return box outside the Learning Commons at any time.�
  • Renew Online (24/7, anywhere!): Sign into Insignia through the student portal with your school account to renew your books. (Look at the tabs along the top of the page and you will find directions). This is great if you are away from school.�
  • Ask for Help: You can email us (Mrs. Cauley’s email is on our Insignia page). If you are having trouble renewing we can renew the book for you.

Remember: Between the outside drop-box and online renewal, there is an option for every schedule. With so many ways to stay current, there’s no reason for a late fine. Be responsible for your loans!

The National Ambassador Youth Forum is held in a different city every year. This year, immerse yourself in a 6-day adventure in Moncton, NB, from August 9 to 14.

Enjoy a dynamic week of workshops, activities, and unforgettable experiences centered around the significance of bilingualism. Travel, accommodation and all activities are FREE for participants!

Youth in Policing Initiative

Youth In Policing Initiative (YIPI) is an employment program with the Ottawa Police Service for youth 15-18 years of

age who are attending a secondary school program.

The goal of the YIPI program is to give young people an opportunity to develop job skills while enhancing police and

community relations.

The program is for interested youth with leadership potential including those who may experience barriers to success

and would benefit from this unique opportunity. For more info:

Volunteer Hours Opportunity

In need of Scribes, Proctors and/or Tutors to help with the testing process for students taking the Canada Safety Council Home Alone and Babysitting Course.

Volunteers are mainly needed on PD Days, March Break, Christmas Holidays, during the summer months and some weekends.

The length of time required is usually for a few hours on these days.
