FRNYC Core Components
11
Early College Credits and Credentials | Career-Connected Instruction | Work-Based Learning | Individualized Advising | Financial Literacy |
To accelerate student learning, postsecondary attainment, and progress towards careers of interest. | To help students build career awareness and develop knowledge and skills for high-wage, high-growth occupations | To help students gain workplace experience, build social capital, and apply key knowledge and skills in an authentic context. | To help every student graduate from high school with a postsecondary vision and a concrete plan to achieve postsecondary success. | To empower every student to thrive in postsecondary education, the workplace, and adult life. |
All FRNYC schools will build systems featuring all five components
to ensure that students graduate with real skills, a strong plan, and a head start on college and career.
