Reflection

Think about a time when you were a part of a highly-effective team.

What made it an effective team?

  • Jot down 3 bulleted points

11 of 63

Asynchronous Learning

Read “5 Characteristics of an Effective

School Team”

  • Silently reflect on the text and your bulleted points from your effective-team experience.
  • Apply your reflection to this context and make a commitment for today and tomorrow.
    • Knowing your Team PLC, what will you personally focus on to support your Team PLC’s effectiveness?

Call it a purpose or a mission--it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that those who attend never feel like they’re just obligated to attend “another meeting.” The purpose is relevant, meaningful, and clear.

Grant PoP

21CSLA Grant Problem of Practice

PoP Statement Criteria

A PoP Statement is:

  • Clear and concise
    • What specifically are we trying to accomplish?
  • Goal oriented
    • How will we know that a change is actually an improvement?
      • Is it actionable? How?
      • Is it measurable? How?
  • Meaningful
    • Will it result in an improvement? What improvement?

The Hill We Climb

And yes, we are far from polished,

far from pristine,

but that doesn’t mean we are

striving to form a union that is perfect.

We are striving to forge our union with purpose
