Department Mission
MD1: To impart quality teaching–learning and assessment process that ensures attainment of program outcomes.
MD2: To provide quality, innovative, and industry-relevant education that develops competent and professional mechanical engineers with strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

About Ashok Leyland Training Centre
The Ashok Leyland Training Centre is an industry-supported training facility established in collaboration with Ashok Leyland Ltd. to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices. The centre is designed to provide hands-on exposure to modern automotive systems, vehicle technology, and maintenance practices relevant to the automobile and mechanical engineering sectors. Students receive hands-on training on automotive systems, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and modern automobile technologies. The facility is also used for technical workshops, certification programs, and placement-oriented training activities conducted in collaboration with industry experts. It helps students improve their technical skills, practical knowledge, and industry readiness, thereby enhancing their employability and professional competence.
The training centre aimed to give exposure to real industrial automotive technologies, enhancement of practical and technical skills.

CO1 | Understand the working principles of automotive systems, including engine components, transmission systems, braking systems, and vehicle subsystems. |
CO2 | Identify and analyze the function and operation of major automobile components used in modern commercial vehicles. |
