Worst Preso EVER!
Teacher Lesson Plan
Summary of the Build Process
Choose a Topic | Break One Rule Per Slide | Five Per Deck | Connect |
Students choose a topic they like or dislike (Pets, sports, food, subjects, etc.) | The goal is to highlight the errors; too many broken rules on a slide creates a jumbled mess! | Break a total of 5 rules per student in the student slide deck. | List the rule being broken on the slide. |
** Consider allowing students to work together in collaborative groups to assist each other.

Presenting the Slides
Presentation | Student Feedback | Secret Plot Twist |
Allow 2 - 3 minutes for students to present a classmates slides to the entire class. | Allow for students to provide feedback about the presentations. The authors suggest having 3 - 5 students sit in front of the room in the style the American Idol judges to make it fun while allowing students to feel comfortable sharing their voice in the classroom. | Students should not be told ahead of time that they will be presenting someone else’s slide deck. This adds a fun layer to the project and helps the students understand the concept being taught by allowing them to be emotionally detached from the presentation. |
