The story ….

INTRODUCTION

You are in the island of Alola. You saw Pikachu coming towards you. He told you that we need to get out of this island as fast as possible.�

There is a huge forest fire and within a couple of hours, the whole island will be burnt.

Within this short of period of time, you are to gather materials that you can find within the island to build a boat that will help you rescue as many Pokemons as possible.

The CHallenge

Build an Amphicar

Your amphicar must be able to roll down the plank and sail to end of the pool using the wind from a hand-held fan.

Criteria

The boat must have the following properties

  • Cannot be larger than ½ of A4 size paper
  • Made from recycled materials

What to do?

Week 7 to 9 (29 Apr to 20 May during science lessons)

  • Work in groups of 3 or 4
  • Discuss with your group and prepare recyclable materials.(2 periods)
  • Test the properties of the materials (2 periods)
  • Combine the different materials to build the amphicar (2 periods)
  • Test your amphicar and refine (4 periods)
