Student Eligibility:

  • PCHS students in 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade
  • The college course may not be a hobby, craft, recreation course, or in the subject areas �of Physical Education, Theology, Divinity, �or Religious Education.
  • Must be an in-state DE program (State of MI only).
  • Test Scores (*check College Board) meet requirements or take a placement test. (*minimum qualifying scores linked here)
  • PCHS students remain on-track for PCHS graduation

Student Expectations:

  • If a student fails a college class, the student is responsible �for paying back the PCS / Billing Office

  • Students will NOT change DE classes without permission�(re-submit Course Registration form for approval)

  • For any book / class fees, save your receipts until the semester is completed and you earn a passing grade in the class; you can submit your receipts to PCS/Billing Office, Ms. Judy Werner: jwerner@pinckneypirates.org

  • It is the students responsibility to provide transportation to and from the college.

Step 1

  • Select which college you are choosing for Dual Enrollment (DE)
    • Most common: WCC, LCC

  • Apply online directly through the college’s website
    • Washtenaw CC
    • Lansing CC
  • Send your transcript by creating a parchment.com account (instructions linked here)
    • When creating your Parchment account, use a NON-SCHOOL email address (you will use Parchment for *ALL* transcript requests, even after graduation)

Step 2

  • If attending WCC obtain WCC’s dual enrollment packet from the Counseling Office or PCHS website
  • If attending LCC, this process is online

Step 3

  • Obtain Dual Enrollment Packet from the Counseling Office or PCHS website and return to the Counseling Office once you are registered for classes.

How will this work with my �PCHS schedule?

  • When you receive your Course Schedule, visit your counselor to ensure all class hours are scheduled and all graduation requirements are met.

4 Credit DE Class = 2 PCHS Classes
