Some things we do in Pre-K…
Fundations
During this school year, your child will be introduced to the “Fundations” Pre-K program. In the beginning of the year they will be introduced to the letters a-z. Each letter name has its keyword and sound and will be practiced daily. There is a visual connection for each letter and we will review the written representation for each letter.
After all 26 letters have been introduced, the students will practice writing the letter formation for lower case then later upper case letters. Students will begin to associate each letter sound when they write the letters.
Students will continue to use this Phonics Program in Kindergarten.
