I find that there is not much information on MLE for juniors and therefore this resource has been created with the aim to help the NE/Yr 1 MLE group members on the VLN:

http://www.vln.school.nz/groups/profile/842722/new-entrant-and-year-1-modern-learning-environments

and to answer some of our questions: http://www.vln.school.nz/groups/activity/842722

At ULearn14, I will be sharing [some of] my learning that occurred as part of my CORE eFellowship inquiry.

QLEs are where learning is authentic, personal and personalised, owned, differentiated, supported, shareable, accessible, challenging, scaleable, ringing with student voice etc. Without the quality the bright colours, wonderful furniture, cool devices and open spaces are merely bling, however bring the M and the Q together and you have something special.

I thought the group might be interested in Laetitia de Vries 'Action Stations'. Her book is available as a digital download and is aimed at NE/Y1 classrooms. We are using Actions stations three afternoons a week to teach self management and thinking skills. Teachers and kids are loving it so far. Here is her youtube clip:
