Vision Map

Create team buy-in by leading your team through a Vision Map

1. Ask each team member to divide a page into three sections and label the top of each section with Current State, Bridge, Future State
2. Invite team members to describe or sketch their Current State – what does the business look like to them today?
3. Then, invite team members to describe their desired Future State – what do they want the business to look like in the future?
4. With both states clearly envisioned, ask team members to complete the Bridge section by identifying specific actions that could be taken or things that would need to change in order to reach the Future State
5. Have each team member share their Vision Map with the group, then discuss similarities and differences, and identify common themes. These themes foster team buy-in for the Team Vision Statement .
