The basics

• Register as a J-term class, but do not meet in J-term (trips do not count toward your 2 free J-terms)
• 3-4 pre-trip class meetings in Spring 2025
• Depart in early June 2025 and travel for around 2 weeks
• No Japanese language skills required
• Credits offered:

-International Perspectives (ITL)

-Electives for Japanese, AS, GEO

• Includes: all transportation, accommodation, group meals, admission tickets

• Excludes: free day expenses

Cost Projections

Payment Schedule:

Non-refundable $500 deposit

into the 2025 Japan Trip account at the Business Office

by May 15, 2024 to reserve your place

The next payment of $2,000 is due October 15, 2024

The last payment of $1,450 is due January 15, 2025.

Make sure to retain your receipt for the deposit.

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance

Expectations

Personal:

​

• Mature, responsible, humble and sensitive attitude about yourself, your classmates, your country, and your Japanese hosts

​

• Willingness to accept and embrace new environments, cuisine, language and customs, even if it is uncomfortable

​

• Adult (not juvenile!) behavior at all times – criminal, disrespectful or dangerous actions will result in expulsion (or imprisonment)

4. Secure your place by making $500 deposit toward trip.
