What is a Proposal Assessor (PA)?

  • PAs are anonymous
  • PAs scores cannot be seen by other PAs during the assessment phase
  • PAs can choose which proposals they assess
  • A person can be a proposer and a PA in the same fund, but not in the same Challenge
  • A person can be a PA and a vPA in the same fund, but not in the same Challenge

Clarity / Auditability

- How can the community audit the project progress?

- Are there KPIs, roadmap, milestones?

- Are the delivery dates clearly defined?

Feasibility

- Success likelihood?

- Is the proposer or team experience aligned with the proposal objective?

- Is there a plan or timeframe?

- Is the budget explained?

- Are risks taken into consideration?

Impact

- Added value to Cardano Ecosystem?

- Challenge alignment?

- Local or global impact?

- Ability to scale?

  • In Fund 9, a total of $640,000 will be distributed to Proposal Assessors
  • Assessments will be classified as ‘excellent’, ‘good’ or will be ‘filtered out’ by Veteran Proposal Assessors in the Quality Assurance phase
  • Excellent assessments will be rewarded 3 times more than the Good assessments
  • Exact rewards cannot be determined in advance, but they can be estimated:
    • $60 for each ‘Good’ assessment
    • $180 for each ‘Excellent’ assessment
  • Values may increase or decrease depending on bonus rewards or total number of assessments
