  • Select a person from the list on the board and find them on Wikipedia
  • Review their Wikipedia page, looking for any information that should have a citation to back it up but does not. You may want to look out for dates, people, places, etc.
    • (remember - the lead/introduction does not require citations)
  • Research what sources we have about that person in books and/or in the library databases
  • Research specific information to back up or prove the uncited statements on Wikipedia

  • Add citation to Wikipedia
    • manually (for books or database articles)
    • by URL (for Websites)
  • Wikipedia citations have all the same components that APA and MLA citations have
  • Ask a facilitator if you need help

  • Save your changes, write a bit about what you did, and voila! You’re done!
  • Thank you! You just added credibility to a Wikipedia Page for an LGBTQI+ and/or Latinx person! Continue on until your page is full of citations!
  • Feel free to move on to a different page or the Information, Creation, & Translation Station whenever you like.
