Wireless internet service providers (WISPs) deliver great internet service alternatives for many underserved and rural areas. Using the latest 5G technology, WISPs can provide high-speed broadband access in large areas at a fraction of the cost and set up time, compared with laying cable or fiber, especially in rural areas. The saving can then be passed on the clients in those communities and countries.
However, many WISPs struggle to scale due to limited access to infrastructure, lack of funding, and difficulty in recruiting. Traditional lending models do not fit the needs of WISPs. Considering these problems, we proposed a new approach: incentive-based cash flow economics for WISPs leveraging blockchain technology. Using the WISP token benefits each party in multiple ways.

WISP token is a blockchain-based internet service incentive token for wireless internet. We are a SaaS token project, tied to last mile wireless internet infrastructure providers and customers. There is no longer a need to destroy the natural ground cover and waste resource on fiber and cable, we provide a wireless solution with faster speed and lower pricing than the big box companies charge!
We partnered with an existing wireless internet service provider that already has more than 1500 customers in US on the token deployment.
With the blockchain incentive token in place, we will have a far more scalable solution for service expansion. $WISP Token can be used as incentive for users, infrastructure providers, and internet providers. Users earn reward for being loyal customers, infrastructure providers (owners of tall buildings, towers, etc.) can earn token based on how many customers they service. "Franchisees" who are interested in running a wireless internet service in a new region, using our technology and support, can earn even more based on the number of customers being served. $WISP Tokens incentivize network growth in all aspects!

$WISP token is a deflationary ERC20 utility token. $WISP token can be used to pay for internet service, data credit, TV service, phone service, get priority in customer service, and discounts on hardware like routers, TV boxes, etc. under CBN network (for now; future state can have more networks be eligible for service), and governance voting power on the $WISP network. By staking the $WISP token, the capital will be used on more infrastructure development (aka running a node in the network, like building a tower, or setting up a backhaul fiber connection), which in turn generate more revenue (and more token reward) for the network. The reward will be split among stakeholders based on the amount they stake. Staking APY currently targets 10%-20%.

Customers can earn $WISP tokens by using the CBN service (and other partnered ISPs in the future). Owners who have access to towers, tall buildings, or infrastructure needed by CBN for expanding network coverage can earn additional token rewards. ‘Franchisees’ who want to run a local network to expand CBN service can mint their tokens with a portion going to CBN to pay for the support. Tokens are transferable, tradable, and redeemable.
