Visiting Sidney, Australia
9ºB
The beginning
Simão and I had decided to take a trip to Sidney, Australia, last summer. After months of saving money, we finally had enough to buy plane tickets and a hotel room. Mom told me I was crazy to visit that place!
Arriving
Arriving at the airport, the first thing we saw and felt right after going down the plane’s stairs was the breathtaking views, the awful heat and a kangaroo kicking an overconfident tourist. We were baffled!
The Hotel
It was late into the day and the jet lag combined with the scorching sun had us too tired to start the visit.
Sleeping would be easier without the swarms of massive spiders crawling through the walls!!
Starting
One call of the manager to take a snake off our toilet later, and of course breakfast after that, we were ready to start!
The adventure
First stop, the famous Sidney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge (both were stunning!)
The adventure
After that, we made way to Taronga Zoo (making sure we stopped by the ancient St. Mary’s Cathedral)
The adventure
We also did an excursion to the beautiful Blue Mountains. This was our favorite because we like nature!
The adventure
And, finally, Sea Life Sidney.
Unfortunately…
Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a lack of money, we were exhausted when arriving home.
It was good while it lasted, but the premature end had caught us by surprise, it would’ve gone better if Vitor and Tomás hadn’t stolen our tickets…
The benefits
We had the opportunity to see the main attractions of Sidney, visit the beaches and taste its gastronomy, like mince pies and vegemite.
Visiting a new place is always an unforgettable experience.
