Counselors will need to provide students with login information to Alabama Career Planning System website.

If a student scores less than 350 after their first 2 attempts,

the student may choose to move on to the next unit or submit work in the current unit.

    • Student may request a third attempt at the Unit Test by messaging their teacher.
    • There will be NO work requirement before 3rd attempt is granted.
    • Unit work may NOT be excused if the first 2 attempts are 325 or lower.

Each unit consists of 1,000 points.

    • If student passes pretest after first 2 attempts: Pretest (500 points) + Test Passed (500 points)
    • If student does NOT pass pretest after first 2 attempts: Pretest (500 points) + Unit Lessons (500 points)

Student completes Student Orientation: Acknowledgement Quiz AND Student Information Sheet

Student takes Unit 1 Test. (NOTE: Password must be entered by Facilitator.)

After taking the Unit 1 Test, the student may move on to Unit 2, regardless of score.

    • Students must move through the Term in order, but can take all pretests without earning a passing score.

Earning a 350 or higher on subsequent attempts does NOT excuse the unit’s work!

If a student scores a 350 after their first 2 attempts, the teacher will excuse ALL of the assignments for that unit and enter the score in the Test Passed column in their Gradebook. (This item is unpublished, and not visible to students.)

Schoology Update December 18, 2024

Password Change

This will not impact people with a Single Sign On in their district’s instance on Schoology. But this will impact ACCESS Schoology and ALSDE Schoology.

For all new accounts (support center staff, teachers, facilitators, students), the new account holder will be prompted to reset their password on their initial login. ALSDE can reset a password, but the account holder will be prompted to change it in PowerSchool. It is possible that all current accounts will be prompted to change the password as well. We will not know for certain until the update is complete on December 18th.
