CMB experiments (Tomo)

IPMU is one of the major lead institutions in LiteBIRD and Simons Observatory(SO). We are also discussing how to participate to CMB-S4 not individual basis but more coordinated way. Here is the team: https://sites.google.com/view/ipmucmb/home-jp

We meet Thursday 10am to catch up, CMB related arXiv paper and research progress, every week.

For LiteBIRD, IPMU is planning to be in charge of

  • hardware
  • science output by data analysis

LiteBIRD's focus is inflation, and yet there are many more things one can do with the data, e.g.

  • Mapping the Hot Gas in the Universe
