Apply to Shadow Day - a chance for high school students to experience life at UNC for a day!

Driver’s and Athletic Eligibility

Students can only remain eligible to play if they:

Passed 6 out of 8 classes during the previous semester of their sport(s)
Attended school at least 85% of the days during the past semester
Have a minimum 1.5 GPA

Students must pass 6 out of 8 courses to obtain and maintain a driver’s license.

Requirement Before 12th Grade

North Carolina law now requires ALL rising 12th graders get a meningococcal vaccine (MCV) booster before starting 12th grade.

Parents/Guardians need to provide a copy of their child’s immunization record showing proof of the MCV vaccine before the first day of school in August.
