  • Complete your APCD assessment evaluation (see handout) by tomorrow night.
  • SOAPSTONE reader- Diction Section- complete before next class
    • Page 6,7,8 and 9- Highlight important ideas/ terms in instructions, prompts, and passages. Fill in the blank for each question at the end of each passage. Take your time, go slowly through each passage. Remember to identify each clue word in the passage so that you can identify important diction words, tone “clue” words, and the purpose of each passage. Remember, the author’s purpose is to change the thoughts and actions of his/ her audience.
  • Bring SOAPSTONE and Rhetorical Terms list to next class. We will be working on team presentations for the Rhetorical terms presentations for the following class.
