Enhance access to home winter hardening resources for residents of Truckee and North Tahoe who are vulnerable to health and safety impacts caused by winter weather.

To ensure our most at-risk populations are more resilient to our severe winters.

75% wanted to make winterizing home improvements but were limited by the cost

High heating costs and poor insulation were the most common winterizing issues

Only one person had used a rebate, grant, or other winterizing assistance program

High upfront cost and lack of information were the biggest barriers to winterizing

78% wanted a simple online application to make applying for winterizing assistance easier
