Stories of bigfoot often say he lives in the forest. This is actually a forest so the stories are somewhat believable.

Modern Song
(1959)
The War of 1812 was a positive event for America.
In 1814 we took a little tripAlong with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip. We took a little bacon and we took a little beansAnd we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans.[Chorus:]We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin. There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.We fired once more and they began to runnin' onDown the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico. We looked down the river and we see'd the British come. And there must have been a hundred of'em beatin' on the drum. They stepped so high and they made the bugles ring.We stood by our cotton bales and didn't say a thing.[Chorus]Old Hickory said we could take 'em by surpriseIf we didn't fire our muskets 'til we looked 'em in the eyeWe held our fire 'til we see'd their faces well. Then we opened up with squirrel guns and really gave 'em ... well
[Chorus]Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the bramblesAnd they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'emDown the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.**We fired our cannon 'til the barrel melted down.So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round. We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behindAnd when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.[Chorus]Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the bramblesAnd they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'emDown the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.**

Long Term Consequences
The U.S. suppressed the native American resistance on its western and southern borders. The nation also gained a psychological sense of complete independence as people celebrated their "second war of independence".[211]Nationalism soared after the victory at the Battle of New Orleans and the Era of Good Feelings ensued.[212]
No longer questioning the need for a strong Navy, the U.S. built three new 74-gun ships of the line and two new 44-gun frigates shortly after the end of the war.[213] The Captains and Commodores of the U.S. Navy became the heroes of their generation in the U.S. Three of the war heroes used their celebrity to win national office including Andrew Jackson who was elected President.
This war enabled thousands of slaves to escape to British lines or ships for freedom, despite the difficulties. The planters' complacency about slave contentment was shocked by their seeing slaves who would risk so much to be free.[178]
In 1815, with the British gone, most of the Indian tribes of the Midwest made peace with the United States.
Gen. Jackson invaded Florida in 1818, demonstrating to Spain that could no longer control that territory with a small force. Spain sold Florida to the United States in 1819. Pratt concludes: Thus indirectly the War of 1812 brought about the acquisition of Florida.... To both the Northwest and the South, therefore, the War of 1812 brought substantial benefits. It broke the power of the Creek Indian rebels and opened land for future cotton farming.

The total number of those killed or wounded on both sides of the War of 1812 is not known with certainty. However, it may have approached 105,000, a figure that includes estimates of casualties of American soldiers and civilians, British and Canadian combatants and civilians, those Indian tribes fighting for one or the other side, and the 1813-1814 Creek War, which was a subset of the larger conflict.
