What is a Co-op? It’s a community-driven model where members contribute time or funds to keep a pool thriving. Either helps out the pool enormously, Parkland runs on volunteers!

Status Update: We encountered technical challenges for full digital implementation in 2025. We are simplifying the process now and refining the system for Summer 2026.

Quick Facts:

  • One family member may work all hours for a membership. Hours not volunteered from 2025 will be reported and billed in 2026. Exceptions may be requested through the Board.
  • 71 persons filled out the volunteer log form so approximately 100 should be paying $50/person when registering in 2026.

This year we had under ⅓ of member units volunteering. The survey results project participation growing to 50% or more!

    • ($300k over 5 years)
  2. Account for two more weeks this 2026 season
  3. Keep up with inflation as all expenses have increased (pool management company, utilities, maintenance, etc.)
