Part 1: Schoology Parent Training-Creating an Account

Go to www.schoology.com to create an account.

�Click on the top and press the “Register”

Click on PARENT.

NOTE: You will need the access code provided by the school. Please contact your child’s Data Entry at their school to request a copy of this code.

Enter the access code and then press continue.

Enter your name, email address and password to continue.

Congratulations! You have now created an account.

Note: You can also do this process using a mobile device and the Schoology App.��

Ways for parents to log in:

  • Download the Schoology App and sign in.

Enter the email address and password that �was created in part 1. ��

If you have multiple children select the More button

Courses- Select courses to see specific information posted in each course.

Groups- This will show any groups the student is enrolled in.

More- Gives the opportunity to see Grades, Calendars, and switch between your additional students.

Test/Quiz in Schoology-

Teachers can use Schoology to create self-grading assignments giving students the option to see their responses and the correct responses if they choose to do so. �

Why?�*instant feedback for students�*parents see what the child missed and how to help if the teacher selects this option

*these aren’t always “Test or Quizzes” but are called this by the program.�

Assignments in Schoology-

Students can turn in assignments for teachers to grade through Schoology. Click on the assignment where you access grades to see:�

*grade on assignment�*the assignment itself�*comments left on virtual sticky notes

Students have their own Google account that are linked to their Schoology account.
