BCLUW Elementary School
In 2010-11 the percentage of 3rd grade students in the proficient range in reading comprehension on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills was 77.2%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2011-12 4th grade class scoring proficient to 83% on the Iowa Assessment Reading test.
The actual performance level for the 2011-2012 fourth grade class was 90.7% proficient on the Iowa Assessment Reading test. The goal was met.
In 2010-11 the percentage of 3rd grade students proficient on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills mathematics tests was 86.3%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2011-12 4th grade class scoring proficient to 92% on the Iowa Assessment mathematics test.
The actual performance level for the 2010-2011 fourth grade class was 97.6% proficient on the Mathematics score. The goal was met.
In 2010-11 the percentage of 3rd grade students in the proficient range in science on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills was 88.6%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2011-12 4th grade class scoring in the proficient range to 92% on the Iowa Assessment science test.
The actual performance level for the 2011-2012 fourth grade class was 95.3% proficient on the science score. The goal was met.

BCLUW Middle School
In 2010-2011 the percentage of seventh grade students proficient on the reading comprehension test on the ITBS was 77.5%. The desired performance level is to raise the percentage of the 2011-2012 eighth grade class who are proficient on the reading comprehension test from 77.5% to 80%. Actual performance was 73.4% proficient on the Iowa Assessment reading test, therefore, the goal was not met. However, the students scored above the national average of percent correct in all skill areas of the reading test.
In 2010-11 the 6th grade class had an average correct score for Estimation questions on the ITBS Concepts and Estimation test of 65%. The goal is to increase the percent correct of the 2011-12 7th grade class from 65% to 69% (4%) of the Estimation questions.
The 7th grade grew 17 National Standard Score points (expected growth is 1-6 NSS points) on the math test from 6th grade to 7th grade. However, we can not measure whether the specific goal was met as there is no estimation score this year due to the change in the test forms (with only 3 to 4 estimation questions intermixed on the new form whereas previously estimation had been a separate test with 12 questions).
In 2010-2011 the percentage of the sixth grade students proficient on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills science test was 71.7%. The goal is to raise the percentage of the 2011-2012 seventh grade class proficient on the Iowa Assessment science test from 71.7% to 76% (+4.3%).
Actual Performance was 77.5% proficient on the Iowa Assessment science test. The goal was met.

In 2010-2011 the percentage of tenth grade students proficient (above the 40th percentile) on the Reading Comprehension test on the Iowa Test of Educational Development was 75%. The desired performance level is to raise the percentage of the 2011-2012 eleventh grade students proficient on the Reading test from 75% to 79%.
The actual performance level for the 2011-12 eleventh grade students was 86% proficient on the Iowa Assessment reading test. The goal was met.
In 2010-2011 the percentage of tenth grade students proficient on the Math test on the ITED was 76.5%. The desired performance level is to raise the percentage of the 2011-2012 eleventh grade class above the 40th percentile on the Mathematics test from 76.5% to 80%.
The actual performance for the 2011-12 eleventh grade students was 82% proficient on the Iowa Assessment Mathematics test. The goal was met.
In 2010-2011 the percentage of tenth grade students above the 40th percentile on the Science test on the ITED was 75%. The desired performance level is to raise the percentage of the 2011-2012 eleventh grade class above the 40th percentile on the Science test from 75% to 79%.
The actual performance for the 2011-12 eleventh grade students was 90% proficient on the Iowa Assessment science test. The goal was met.

In 2011-12 the percentage of third grade students proficient on the Reading Test of the Iowa Assessments was 69%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2012-13 fourth grade class scoring proficient on the Iowa Assessments Reading Test from 69% to 74%.
In 2011-12 the percentage of 3rd grade students in the proficient range in Mathematics on the Iowa Assessments was 80%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2012-13 fourth grade class scoring proficient to 85% on the Iowa Assessments Mathematics Test.
In 2011-12 the percentage of 3rd grade students in the proficient range in Science on the Iowa Assessments was 88%. The desired performance is to increase the percentage of students of the 2012-13 fourth grade class scoring in the proficient range to 90% on the Iowa Assessments Science Test.

In 2011-12 the percentage of sixth grade students proficient on the science test of the Iowa Assessment was 66.6%. The desired performance is to raise the percentage of the 2012-13 7th grade students to 72% proficient (+5.4%).
