Motion to change a bylaw

  • Create a Communications Director’s position.

​

    • Last year we split up Harry Durrant’s Publicity Directors responsibilities into a web site committee, the Strawberry Festival Publicity person and our secretary.
    • Last year we passed a motion to eliminate the position of Publicity Director.
    • As pointed out at last years meeting we were still underestimating the work that Harry did.

Projects Under Consideration�

 

  • Extend the Charlotte viewing area. Extend the seating 16 feet towards court 3 and replace the shade cover with a new full length shade
  • Build a tennis hitting wall. This would be built over at the Rampart area after the shop is built.

30 Year Capital Plan

  • Last year we put together a 30 year capital plan for the Tennis Club and for the Corporation.
  • The purpose was to ensure that we have enough revenue for the club to support anticipated future expenses.
  • Again we gave the Corporation the expenses that they are required to fund over the next 30 years.
  • This year, as budgeted, we purchased more wind screens and a net.
  • We have moved new court lighting out a few years until the cost of LED lighting comes down
  • Next year we are investigating building a hitting wall at the Rampart area and also expanding the Charlotte spectator area.
