Wu/Woo: depression village settlement,
it can be interpreted as “retreat” or “haven” in “ShanhaiWoo”
The name ShanhaiWoo is inspired by The Classic of Mountains and Seas, also known as Shanhai jing, is a Chinese classic text and a compilation of mythic geography and beasts.
It is largely a fabulous geographical and cultural account of pre-Qin China as well as a collection of Chinese mythology.

通过源于中国传统文化创造的超现实寓所「山海坞」 ，我们让来自不同背景的人们共居共创一月。
By creating a surreal setting of ShanhaiWoo (originated from Chinese Mythology), we brought people from diverse backgrounds to live and create together for one month.

With the beta deployment of the Rio Sagrado AI-vatar/SymbioTotem planned for Q2 2024, we started to imagine how this effort could be integrated with identification processes that would grant the AI-vatar a kind of "community perceived" personhood, enabling it to "enter into contracts" with the community (both local and global). After all, the proceedings for the river's official legal recognition as an entity of rights will take time. And this is where blockchain technologies can make a difference.
