Wig Terminology

  • Shells = Head shaped forms for each actor which the designers use to create wigs.
  • Knotting = Tying 1-2 hairs at a time onto the base of the wig.
    • It takes at least 40 hours for each wig.
    • Good wigs cost up to $5000 each (¥32,000)
