Jennifer Hauser has been the principal of Easley Elementary since January 2015. She previously served as Assistant Principal at Pearsontown Year Round Elementary. Prior to joining DPS in the fall of 2013, Principal Hauser was a classroom teacher, instructional facilitator, and literacy coach with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. As a Michigan native and U of M graduate, she is an avid Michigan fan as noted upon entering her office! Her interests outside of work include traveling, reading, spending time on the beach, and hiking with her husband and Golden Retriever.

Jeff Bugajski has been the Assistant Principal of Easley Elementary since July 2020. He is a North Carolina Principal Fellow and proud graduate of North Carolina Central University. Go Eagles! Most of his education experience has been in Wake County Public School System as a 5th grade teacher, Technology Facilitator, and Instructional Coach. He also opened Parkside Elementary as a Principal Intern. He is from Michigan. He enjoys live music, camping, his two Pitbulls, going to the mountains and spending time with his husband and two sons. He is passionate about equity and home-to-school connections.

Morning Arrival

The doors open at 7:15 AM and the tardy bell rings at 7:45 AM.
Students should not be dropped off prior to 7:15 AM as there is no supervision until that time.
Please see the image below for arrival procedures.
Breakfast is available to all students, free of charge. Students can pick up their breakfast and eat in the classroom.

Afternoon Dismissal

School dismisses at 2:15 PM.
Dismissal procedures will be the same as last year. Car riders will dismiss at the back of the school. Please see the image below for specific details.

Kinder (and sibling) drop off

Drop-off - all carpool except Kinder

AM Carpool Arrival

Procedures:

- All carpool will come up Lebanon.

- Kinder parents will turn off the first right in the parking lot and loop around.

- The Kinder parents will stop in the corner by the entrance to the playground.

- Older siblings may exit and walk down the sidewalk into the main entrance.

Pick up - all grade levels

PM Carpool Dismissal

Procedures:

- PM carpool will utilize the bus loop by the gym.

- Pull into driveway and stay to the right.

- Pull up to the side of the gym. Stop at the cones and your child will come out to your vehicle.

- After student is loaded, pull forward and around to the left. Stay along the outer edge of the lot and exit the parking lot.

- No early pick up after 1:45

- Buses will be picking up in the carpool loop
