Lesson 7 - Revolved Objects
Tool-Tip: Polygons
Keyboard Shortcut: none
Draw polygons and set the number of sides by rotating the mouse or editing the number
Inscribed Polygon
Circumscribed Polygon
Create a polygon with a circle inside
Create a polygon inside of a circle
Tool-Tip: Planes
Keyboard Shortcut: none
Reference planes are user-specified planes besides the x,y, and z planes
The most common planes:
Offset - puts a plane a specified distance away from a face
Three Point - uses three reference points and connects them with a plane
Mid Plane - creates a plane halfway between two faces
Tangent - creates a plane tangent to a cylindrical face
Tool-Tip: Revolve Extrude
Keyboard Shortcut: shift + w
Revolves extrude a side profile around a reference axis
Select the side profile you want extruded and then select a revolve axis for that profile to be turned around
You can make it full or partial by setting the specific degree measurement you want to extrude to
