Monday, January 15: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
Thursday, January 18: Getting Ready for the Transition to Middle School (5th grade families; MVCS at 6:00 pm)
Monday, January 22: Teacher Work Day (No School)
Thursday, January 25: Principal’s Coffee (MVCS at 8:15 am)

December/January Priorities

Language and content integration
Expansion of tutoring services and resources
Extension and refinement of differentiation through stations/centers

ALL In VA Tutoring for Grades 3-5

Additional tutoring services for students in grades 3-5 in Math and Reading depending upon their last SOL score (Grades 4-5) or Virginia Growth Assessment score (Grade 3) in those content areas.
Combination of various resources and services:

After-school tutoring (primarily Math)
Day-time remediation/tutoring (primarily Reading)
Combination of synchronous and asynchronous services and resources (i.e., Ignite Reading, Lexia Core 5, and Dreambox Math)

Students eligible for tutoring services with tutors outside of ACPS will receive additional communication in January.

This feast is an Italian-American tradition, mostly for families from southern Italy.

The number 7 has many different religious connections to Christianity.
