Letters of Recommendation (LOR) - if required

​

  • 4 step process
    • Email/meet with teacher/counselor regarding initial LOR request
      • Please check with your college to see if a counselor LOR is required, not all colleges require one
    • Complete/finalize Brag Sheet (under “about me”, then “surveys”, once completed click “update”, there is not a submit button)
    • Submit formal request through Naviance
    • Send thank you note to teacher/counselor for letter

Add Colleges to your Naviance list & request transcripts

    • Go to “Colleges I’m applying to”
    • Click pink plus sign
    • Request transcripts
      • Rank is run mid-September.

    • UPDATE: Common App college applications must be complete prior to transcript being sent

Common Speedbumps for Transcript/LOR submissions

  • Student has not matched their Common App account which means it is not in sync with Naviance
    • Note: Students college list must match their Naviance “College I’m applying to” application list
  • Student has not completed FERPA waiver in their Common App account

NOTE: Counselors are not able to submit transcripts/LORs until this is completed. Teachers are not able to submit their LORs either until this is completed.
