Thank you once for your interest in creating art of our VTuber character “NullO”. Whether you’re here because of a project, collaboration, paid gig (commissions), or a fan wanting to create derivative works of NullO, we hope this reference resource will be useful and clearly communicate NullO’s character design and lore regardless of the artistic medium that is used.

This document was also created for the purpose of making communicating clearly with the creative individual important aspects of NullO’s design. We also hope to minimize the need to request for minor corrections due to an important detail in NullO’s design being absent upon the 1st delivery.

Also, the previous version of our detailed reference folder is admittedly messy and confusing. We hope this document is more organized and easier to understand.

Derivative works using AI generative image softwares is FORBIDDEN. This includes using AI generated reference images as inspiration.
We also FORBID using any content with NullO in mind in the usage of anything related to NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
Fan-made merchandise is OK and selling a small stock of the merchandise (such as during Artist Alley) is OK as well. Do show us the fan-made merch. you’ve made if you decide to make some (we’ll buy 6 please and thank you ww)

NullO (nuu-LLOH) is what one would call a Soul. Specifically an old soul since they’ve lived many past lives in different timelines and dimensions prior to returning to the Cosmic Ether (a place beyond The Veil where it all began).

What is NullO?

Due to the nature of souls not having an exact physical form (they are made of pure cosmic energy), NullO is able to take on almost any desired form they so wish.

Alternate Color Scheme

Similarly to characters in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (were the characters have a default color scheme & alternative color schemes), NullO is able to change their color scheme at will depending on their mood, environment, etc.

Anatomy of a Cosmic Soul

Since an ethereal soul in its purest form isn't exactly made of solid matter (they're mainly made of light and matter from the cosmos and beyond), NullO has several physical states of matter, especially when they take on a more humanoid form regardless of shape, size, and form.

More ghostly/transparent, but can change their matter density enough to give someone a hug :D

The Everlasting Life Cycle of a Soul

Daffodil Symbolism: New beginnings, rebirth, prosperity, creativity, energy, resilience, forgiveness, hope, and vitality.

Several daffodils mean Joy and Happiness.

A singular one means misfortune.

In China, the flower symbolizes good fortune, good luck, and prosperity.

Daffodils represent NullO's growth & journey. It manifested within them after experiencing their most recent past life incarnation. As NullO continues to go through their journey, the daffodil bud will one day bloom.

Do’s, Maybe’s, and Don’ts

Do Change color schemes (keeping key design elements in mind) Androgynous-look With or without animal ears.	Maybe Skirts and Dresses (Frills are OK) Ship art (platonic is OK. If w/ other VTubers, please make sure they are okay with art w/ others; romantic or similar realm I am unsure at this time)	Don’t Boobs (Flat & muscled pecs OK) DON'T forget to incorporate the 3 clouds and sparkles in some shape or form. White-washing/Drawing NullO with lighter/fair (human) skin (BIG NO; fantasy colors are OK) Misgender them (an ethereal soul has no gender, silly!)
