Version Compatibility and Conformance

Zowe Extensions Compatibility Recommendations:

• Verify your Vendor extensions have earned Zowe v3 Conformance (conformance assures interoperability)
• Alternatively, (not recommended) verify interoperability with the Vendor

Vendor Support Offerings:

• All Zowe v2 Support Providers must re-apply to re-affirm their conformance for Zowe v3. Comprehensive Support Providers MUST support ALL new Zowe Core components introduced with v3 (Zowe Extensions are excluded).

• For USS: the feature sorts by name, type and last modification date, in ascending and descending order, works both on USS filters and USS folders
• For datasets: the feature sorts by dataset name, type and modification date, in ascending and descending order
• For JES jobs: the feature sorts by name, creation and completion date, status, owner and job ID, in ascending and descending order

• Intended to show the cached data for users to track data relevance
• The refresh date and time is shown after the first mask/filter open
• Works for datasets, USS files and JES jobs

• Works for any "cancel" operations
• Does not interrupt the normal flow of the plug-in

• The errors in the notifications now have the small amount of information at the start
• To reveal all the error details, it is possible to click "More" and see the dialog with the details
• If the error is unclear, it will say "Unknown error" instead of the details

• The description is shown for the units, supported by z/OSMF REST API (MB, KB units are skipped)
• The tip describes the units for the 3390 devices, which are (as we expect) the default ones today
• Depending on a feedback, we will continue to add these descriptions for other dataset properties
• Some other hints are in development

• Removes regular work interruption after a dataset is created
• If the notification button is clicked, it will create a mask for the exact dataset created as a part of the dataset name + ".*" to show the related entities as well as the created dataset

• The "Cancel Command" button is introduced to provide the same functionality as TSO regular console has (PA1 or ATTN button)
• The "Reopen Session" button reopens the session with the same parameters as the previous one

​
