CREATING THE POSTER
Abstract of the paper. This is an example of poster for the ECML PKDD 2021. The poster sessions will be held in GatherTown, and therefore the requirements for the posters are considering this. There are mainly two questions to consider. First, as the posters will be visualized in a screen, they will be better displayed in landscape. Second, the posters will be uploaded as an image, so they should be in jpg (or similar) format.
There are many tools and ways to create a poster, and any of such is ok as long as the final format is an image with enough quality.
The resolution required for the images should be between 1920x1080 pixels (HD) and 3840x2160 pixels (4K).
This document is an example of poster, as one of the easiest way to create a poster is using slide creation software. If you are creating your own document from scratch, have in mind that the first step should be customizing its size.
By default, the size of the slides in Google Docs is 960x540 pixels. You can change this going to File -> Page Setup and selecting Custom. Then you can set the size in pixels.

Once you have created your poster you can download it as a jpg file or, if you want more control over the conversion (higher quality, etc.), you can download it as a pdf or svg and then open it with an image editor such as Gimp or Photoshop.
SUBMISSION OF THE POSTER
Once the poster is ready, you have to submit it to web_chairs@2021.ecmlpkdd.org. The name of the file should be NNN_XXXX.jpg, where NNN is the code of the paper and XXXX the title of the paper. For example, it should look like 666_The_title_of_my_work.jpg.
The deadline for the submission is August 15, 2021.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Although it is not strictly necessary, you can use the palette of the congress logo in your poster and/or figures and plots.
These are the codes of the colors in the logo (they are already included in the custom colors in this document).
