Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB
ASVAB - continued
The military will use the results of this test to determine what jobs (Military Occupational Specialties or MOS) would be best for you. The higher your ASVAB scores, the more opportunities you will have in the military. All branches have a minimum required score that you must achieve to enter that branch.
The ASVAB is administered at Spring Grove High School. You can click on the below link for more information on registering for the ASVAB and the dates it is being offered:

More specific information on the ASVAB can be found at the following site:
Talking to a Military Recruiter
In addition to taking the ASVAB, it is recommended that you contact a military recruiter and discuss with them the benefits of joining the military and what you can expect if you join a military branch.
The Spring Grove High School Counseling Office recommends you talk to as many recruiters as possible to make sure you are getting as much information as you can. Each branch and type of enlistment (full-time vs. reserves) offers different benefits and you need as much information as possible to make an informed decision.
Spring Grove High School works with recruiters from all branches of the military and we often have them come to our lunch periods so students have easy access to them to ask questions. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19, all military visits will be virtual until further notice. If you are interested in talking to a recruiter, please contact Mrs. Sprenkle or Mr. Fake in the Career Center.
The following slide lists the recruiters that we work with at Spring Grove High School:
