How to Use Digital

Student Activity Sheets

GLOBE Weather Curriculum digital student activity sheets are Google Slides that have interactive elements students can fill out.

These activity sheets are currently “view only.” In order to use the activity sheets, you will need to make a copy of them using the instructions below.

To copy individual files into your Google Drive

  1. Make sure you are signed into your Google Account
  2. Select the files you want to copy (use the links on the following page to easily find and copy specific lessons).
  3. Right click and select Make a Copy.
  4. Then assign the worksheets to your students in Google Classroom or another compatible learning management system.

To copy all files at once into your Google Drive

  1. Make sure you are signed into your Google Account
  2. Navigate to the Full Curriculum folder.
  3. Select all files, right click, and select Make a Copy. This will copy all files into your own Google Drive.

Caution: If you choose to download the activity sheets and then upload them to your drive, you will need to convert all of the worksheets back into the Google Slide format (they will automatically become powerpoint when downloaded onto your computer). If you wish to have the files organized by lesson (like we have on the next page), we suggest you organize them after you have copied them into your drive.

Interactive Elements

Boxes with a light gray outline indicate a text box where students can click to type their answers.

Blue circles are provided for fill-in-the-bubble questions. Students can drag the circle into the bubble they select for their answer.

Play button icons are linked to the supporting videos.

Google Drawing icons indicate a corresponding Drawing file. Drawing files include the question instructions and backgrounds for the image. When copying the Student Activity Sheets for each student, make sure to also copy the corresponding Drawing file.

Optional: depending on the comfort level of your students with Google Classroom, you may instruct students to insert their drawing file into the worksheet (they can “add image” to the appropriate pages in the activity sheet). This may help you check student work more efficiently.
