The performance of the dryer was evaluated using chili in which the initial moisture content was reduced from 80% to around 6% (equilibrium moisture content).

The collector efficiency was 47.41 & drying efficiency was 57.2

It was found that the solar dryer can dry high initial moisture content fruits such as pineapple and mango to the recommend value of moisture content for safe storage within 2 to 3 days.

Higher standard of hygiene

Significant time and energy savings

More revenue for local agriculturists

This technology is not only one of the best ways for tropical zones, especially Myanmar but also more economical and efficient compared to traditional open-air drying.

  • Applying our design in real-world agricultural practices
  • Gathering feedback and insights from the local farmers

Collaboration with Local Agriculturists

Modifying traditional drying method by combing theory concepts, knowledge, idea and methodology learning from school made our quality of life better and better.

Quality

Instead of applying chemicals preserve, young learners should be educated to select modernized eco-friendly and users friendly.
